Magic Arrow

Type Combat Basic Target enemy troop receives ([Power x 10] + 10) damage
Cost 5 Advanced Target enemy troop receives ([Power x 10] + 20) damage
Duration Instant Expert Target enemy troop receives ([Power x 10] + 30) damage

View Air

Type Adventure Basic Displays the location of all artifacts
Cost 2 Advanced Displays the location of all artifacts and Heroes
Duration Instant Expert Displays the location of all artifacts, Heroes, and towns

 

Level Two

Disguise

Type Adventure Basic Enemy hero's view your army as being composed entirely of your highest level troop currently in army.  Troop population quantities are displayed normally.
Cost 2 Advanced Enemy hero's view your army as being composed entirely of your highest level troop.  Troop population quantities are displayed as zero.
Duration Instant Expert Enemy hero's view your army as being composed entirely of your highest level troop in longest owned town.  Troop numbers displayed as zeroes.

Disrupting Ray

Type Combat Basic Enemy target's Defense -3 (spell may be cast repeatedly on same troop)
Cost 10 Advanced Enemy target's Defense -4 (spell may be cast repeatedly on same troop)
Duration Current Battle Expert Enemy target's Defense -5 (spell may be cast repeatedly on same troop)

Fortune

Lightning Bolt

Type Combat Basic Target receives ([Power x 25] + 10) damage
Cost 10 Advanced Target receives ([Power x 25] + 20) damage
Duration Instant Expert Target receives ([Power x 25] + 50) damage

Precision

Type Combat Basic Allied ranged attacker gains +3 to Attack on ranged attacks
Cost 8 Advanced Allied ranged attacker gains +6 to Attack on ranged attacks
Duration 1 round/power Expert All allied ranged attackers gain +6 to Attack on ranged attacks

Visions

Type Adventure Basic Displays number of monsters in wandering stacks and possibility of joining Hero's army.  Range is equal to Power or 3, whichever is greater.
Cost 4 Advanced Same as Basic, can also view enemy hero's stats and army quantities.  Range is (Power x 2) or 3, whichever is greater
Duration 1 day Expert Same as Advanced, can also view enemy town's stats, garrison composition and populations.  Range is (Power x 3) or 3, whichever is greater

 

Level Three

Air Shield

Type Combat Basic Target, allied troop takes 25% less damage from ranged attacks
Cost 12 Advanced Target, allied troop takes 50% less damage from ranged attacks
Duration 1 round/power Expert All allied troops takes 25% less damage from ranged attacks

Due to a bug, units protected by Air Shield will take DOUBLE damage from castle turrets during a siege.

Destroy Undead

Type Combat Basic All undead creatures take ([Power x 10] + 10) damage
Cost 15 Advanced All undead creatures take ([Power x 10] + 20) damage
Duration Instant Expert All undead creatures take ([Power x 10] + 50) damage

Protection from Air

Type Combat Basic Damage from Air Magic spells is reduced by 30% for allied troop
Cost 12 Advanced Damage from Air Magic spells is reduced by 50% for allied troop
Duration 1 round/power Expert Damage from Air Magic spells is reduced by 50% for all allied troops

Hypnotize

Type Combat Basic Enemy troop of less than ([Power x 25] + 10) Health is put under your control.  Allied troops may attack hypnotized troops without fear of retaliation
Cost 18 Advanced Enemy troop of less than ([Power x 25] + 20) Health is put under your control.  Allied troops may attack hypnotized troops without fear of retaliation
Duration 1 round/power Expert Enemy troop of less than ([Power x 25] + 50) Health is put under your control.  Allied troops may attack hypnotized troops without fear of retaliation

 

Level Four

Chain Lightning

Type Combat Basic Bolt strikes target troop for ([Power x 40] + 25) damage.  Bolt then strikes closest troop for half the damage.  Effect continues until 4 troops are hit.
Cost 24 Advanced Bolt strikes target troop for ([Power x 40] + 50 damage.  Bolt then strikes closest troop for half the damage.  Effect continues until 5 troops are hit.
Duration Instant Expert Bolt strikes target troop for ([Power x 40] + 100) damage.  Bolt then strikes closest troop for half the damage.  Effect continues until 5 troops are hit.

Counterstrike

Type Combat Basic Allied troop gains 1 additional retaliation attack per round
Cost 24 Advanced Allied troop gains 2 additional retaliation attacks per round
Duration 1 round/power Expert All allied troops gain 2 additional retaliation attacks per round

 

Level Five

Dimension Door

Type Adventure Basic Teleports hero to any empty/visible location on the adventure map.  Can be cast 2 times per day.  Hero movement reduced by 3 spaces.
Cost 25 Advanced Teleports hero to any empty/visible location on the adventure map.  Can be cast 3 times per day.  Hero movement reduced by 3 spaces.
Duration Instant Expert Teleports hero to any empty/visible location on the adventure map.  Can be cast 4 times per day.  Hero movement reduced by 2 spaces.

Fly

Type Adventure Basic Hero can fly over terrain obstacles to an unoccupied map location.  Distance traveled may be up to 60% of normal movement.
Cost 20 Advanced Hero can fly over terrain obstacles to an unoccupied map location.  Distance traveled may be up to 80% of normal movement.
Duration 1 Day Expert Hero can fly over terrain obstacles to an unoccupied map location.  Distance traveled may be up to 100% of normal movement.

Magic Mirror

Type Combat Basic 20% chance enemy spells cast on protected allied troop will be redirected to a random enemy troop
Cost 25 Advanced 30% chance enemy spells cast on protected allied troop will be redirected to a random enemy troop
Duration 1 round/power Expert 40% chance enemy spells cast on protected allied troop will be redirected to a random enemy troop

Summon Air Elemental

Type Combat Basic Summons a stack  containing (Power x 2) of Air Elementals.  Only 1 type of elemental can be summoned.
Cost 25 Advanced Summons a stack  containing (Power x 3) of Air Elementals.  Only 1 type of elemental can be summoned.
Duration Combat Expert Summons a stack  containing (Power x 4) of Air Elementals.  Only 1 type of elemental can be summoned.

Titan's Lightning Bolt

Type Combat

Hero wearing the Titan's Thunder combination artifact gains the ability to cast Lightning Bolt for 600 points of damage, it does not cost any spell points, and the artifact also adds a spell book into their inventory (permanently)

Spell point costs can be modified in a variety of ways:

If a hero has the matching spell school secondary skill for that particular spell, there is a 1 spell point discount per level of the spell.

(1st level spells:   -1 spell point/ 2nd level spells:   -2 spell points/ etc)

If a hero is facing Pegasi on the battlefield, all spells will cost that hero an additional 2 spell points each.
If a hero has Magi or Arch Magi in his/her army, then all spells will cost that hero 2 spell points less.
